He didn’t land here accidentally. Navy Yard was a choice, walkable to the ballpark, two blocks from the water, a block that still has a little grit left in it, and he’ll explain exactly why if you ask. He works in something consequential and thinks about it less than he used to. At home he slows down: a serious kitchen used seriously, a Monet book on the counter that’s been opened, a roof terrace where the city skyline becomes his screensaver. He collects experiences the way other people collect things, quietly and with intention.
The staging works floor by floor, letting each level breathe differently while anchoring the whole home in a recurring warmth: cognac leather, navy linen, natural wood, and abundant greenery that moves from large-leaf tropicals at the entry to delicate eucalyptus and lavender at the top. The lower level is given the most conceptual treatment, dark charcoal tile grounds the space while a watercolor brushstroke canvas and oversized monstera plants push the entry closer to a gallery lounge, resisting the impulse to make it purely functional. The kitchen is staged to be inhabited rather than admired: open stainless shelving styled to suggest active use, a wood bowl, an art book propped on the island. The living room sharpens the palette, tufted charcoal sofa, cognac sling chair, smoked glass coffee table, a composed, city-facing room that reads confident without announcing itself. Each bedroom occupies its own register: the primary suite at the top closes the loop, a navy upholstered bed oriented toward the private roof terrace, warm wood vanity with gold hardware in the en suite delivering the home’s one moment of pure indulgence. The terrace is styled with restraint, two teak chairs, a cedar screen, open sky, because the view earns the silence.
A refined, essential approach that shapes the first impression.
